A mild and slightly damp Gabriola evening was no deterrent for the happy band of carollers that gathered at the Garden Homes to launch into joyous song with cheer and good will on the evening of December 14th.
The annual mobile carolling tradition found us in fine voice and ably led by the vocal and musical talents of Leah Hokanson and Gary Badke. After a rousing gathering ensemble we boarded the Gertie bus to tour the Island, stopping at the homes of several friends who are less mobile.
The evening’s festivities wound up at the home of Gary and Mah Naz Badke where we were warmly welcomed with hot chocolate and a variety of delicious baked treats. It was a truly enjoyable evening as we sang our way around the Island carrying with us seasonal cheer and sharing the light of spirits aglow with peace and harmony. Many thanks to Catherine Woodward, Sally Bullas, and others for organizing this treasured annual event.
