After a fog bound, perplexing day of “should we go, or should we stay” ….we finally decided (after scouting the island roads) to do it!
We were so glad to have twelve brave carollers show up at the Garden Homes to entertain some thirty residents and friends. We even had a ninety year young lady with her daughter join us.
From the Garden Homes we ventured forth into the fog as a convoy of six cars visiting three homes to sing and ending up as is our usual tradition around the cozy fireplace at Eric and Sue Boulton’s for their special fortified hot chocolate and an assortment of cakes and pastries.
There we sang more carols and reflected on what a special evening this was and how comforting it was to share our thoughts and feelings, culminating with a sense of relief that we did venture forth into that challenging night to accomplish our annual mission.
