On Sunday, February 11th, twenty-five people enjoyed

Leah Hokanson’s 2nd  of 3 “Innvocations”, community chanting series held at the net loft.

Leah has the rare ability to sift through the ancient wisdom of the mystics and select nuggets that are as fresh and applicable today as they were 9 centuries ago.

Leah’s first song….“Where do we Begin?”
“With the heart” says Julian of Norwich  – immediately led us directly to our hearts…

Followed by Rumi and Thich Nhat Hanh we participated, even hummed our way through texts meant to uplift and expand our hearts and mind.

Leah introduced her own work “So Well”, which was salve for the soul. This led beautifully into Hafiz, the 12th century mystic who wrote,
“ Stay close to everything that makes you glad to be alive”.

The nature of truth is not dependent on a time continuum, it seems, and Leah affirms this in every performance. She is an inspiration.

Luckily, for Gabriolans Leah will give the last of her series on March 11th at 3 o’clock at the net loft. Plan to be there, you’ll be happy you did.  Everyone Welcome.

By Donation.
