in 2011-2012, Faith Traditions, Speakers

On Thursday, June 28th 2012 The Gabriola Ecumenical Society hosted  an evening devoted to learning about Hindu cultural practices which reflect their faith.  This event which took place at the Gabriola United Church Hall  was a joyous occasion with singing, dancing, meditation, Indian dress, festival food and henna.

As our theme for the year “Spirituality Without Borders’  we again had the opportunity expand our knowledge of other spiritual faith traditions. Many participants from various traditions attended this event and we were all grateful for the opportunity to learn more about one another’s chosen path.  Once again were amazed at how much we all have in common.
