Jesus and Buddha

I have enjoyed participating in the 6 week Jesus and Buddha discussions with members of the GES this winter. We listened to sections of talks with James Findley and and Richard Rohr about Buddha’s Four Noble truths and how they relate to Christian teachings.
Some technical problems prevented us from hearing more of the talks than intended, but we always had interesting exchanges of ideas and understandings, and we learned from one another.
Thank you to Del for providing the set of DVD’s we used, to Shelagh Huston, Mary Wilson, Linda St. Clair and Robbie Huston for guiding our discussions, and to all the volunteers who brought delicious soups, bread, coffee and desserts for our lunches.
