Chanting for Contemplation and Reflection in the tradition of Taize, France
On Tuesday March 05, 2013 Susan Murray worked hard to give us another wonderful Taize Experience. This one was held by candlelight in the Gabriola United Church from 4-5:30 pm. Pianist Leah Hokanson led us in song and celebration. In this twilight hour 30 people sat peacefully in a circle and participated fully in this beautiful musical tradition of meditative prayer celebrated in all faith tradition. The experience was enriched by various participants reading short reflective passages at various times throughout the melodic chanting.
