Is Pope Francis a game-changer?

Reflections and Stories of Transformational Change in the lives of Pope Francis and St. Francis of Assisi.
with Rev. Andrew Twiddy

Andrew Twiddy picRev. Andrew Twiddy of Parksville, Pastor of The Anglican Parish of St. Anne and St. Edmund, attended a week of study and pilgrimage in Rome and Assisi last fall, entitled ‘The Francis Effect’ at the Anglican Centre in Rome. It hosted a range of exceptional speakers, visits to the Vatican, Pope Francis’ general audience, and visits to the Franciscan sites in Assisi.

The goal was to examine the topic of transformational change by looking at the life and work of Pope Francis, and his inspiration, St. Francis of Assisi, as witnessed in the recent environmental encyclical ‘Laudato Si’ – On Care for Our Common Home.

Andrew will share some of his observations, stories, and experiences, and invite all and any, from any faith background or none, to be in dialogue with him about the implications of “the Francis effect” or “factor” for living in today’s world.

Presentation will begin in the chapel. Conversation with Andrew will continue with tea & lunch.   Bring a bag lunch.
