Exploring “Embers; One Ojibway’s Meditations” by acclaimed First Nations author Richard Wagamese

“Bring these words into your life.
Feel them. Sit with them. Use them.”

“Embers” is a heart offering of profound generosity and grace. Richard Wagamese has interwoven personal reflections and ancient wisdom teachings of the Ojibway with an abundance of joyful art and photography honouring the sacred soul of nature. His meditations invite us to savour silence and welcome reflection.

What does it mean to let go of internalized barriers and “hurl ourselves into the adventure of living”? To live in conscious relationship with all life? To be stewards of this precious earth?

Here is an opportunity to listen together for the songs of deep wisdom and wonder that echo within Wagamese’s words and images.

There are 9 print and 1 audio copies available through the Gabriola library.
