10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Netloft
You are invited to join us on a playful journey through the chakras on Saturday, November 12th, 2022. This one day workshop at the Netloft will include meditation, yoga and sounding. We will learn how to do a chakra reading, and enjoy a chakra-themed potluck lunch where you will be able to savour teas and tonics especially created for each of the chakras.
Come wearing your favourite colour of the chakra, the one that resonates the most with you. If you are not sure, just pick a colour, or wear rainbow colours. You may also bring crystals and a pendulum if you wish.
Please bring a yoga mat, wear comfortable clothes, and bring a dish for lunch.
For the potluck lunch, think of the colours of the chakras, and what they represent, for example beets for the root chakra, or greens for the heart chakra. A selection of eight chakra teas and tonics will be provided at the lunch.
This workshop is being offered in support of the Tibetan Nuns Project.
About this project:
In 1987, many nuns began escaping from Tibet in search of religious and educational freedom. The majority of the nuns were destitute and illiterate, and they arrived in a refugee community already struggling to survive. These dedicated women wanted to live, study, practice, and teach in accordance with their spiritual beliefs.
Traditionally, Buddhist nuns have not had the same access to education as monks. The Tibetan Nuns Project aims to elevate the educational standards and the position of women, with a groundbreaking education system aimed at both preserving Tibetan culture and empowering the nuns to live and become leaders in the modern world.
