Thanksgiving Dinner and Auction

After many years organizing this event, Randy McCarthy and Sue Lissack are stepping down. A huge Thank You for all that you have done to make this event such an outstanding success.

We now need one or two people to step up and help Anne Sims organize the event!   Volunteers are also needed to setup, cleanup, and help in the kitchen. Please contact Jacquie Jessup  Email:   jmjessup@shaw.ca  Phone:  250 247 8308 if you are willing to help. We need your help to make this annual event a success.

Also, this year, for the first time we will have an auction of services as well as food items.  Examples to be donated may include : Christmas baking, floral decorations, car cleaning, fall yard cleanup, oil change, dinner party or anything else that you, your spouse, children or friends can contribute. Please contact Jacquie to
let her know what service you are willing to donate. We would like this information before the event.

We will also be having a bake sale. Donations of baking appreciated.


The Thanksgiving Dinner & Auction generates most of the funds used to finance GES programs as well as charitable contributions to different services on the Island. We are grateful for your support.


 

 

Help is needed in the following areas:

  • organizing the dinner
  • kitchen help
  • table decorations
  • room set up (tables and chairs)
  • room tear down (tables and chairs)
  • donations of services for auction
