The Gabriola Ecumenical Society and Gabriola Insight Sangha welcome Arinna Weisman to the Netloft for a non-residential silent meditation weekend.
Everyone is very welcome, beginners, as well as long time practitioners.
During this weekend we will be guided to recognize and awaken the beautiful qualities of the heart that live inside of us such as awareness, courage, patience, perseverance, and caring. This practice builds the necessary strength to hold what is challenging and difficult both within ourselves and in the world and supports us to live ‘in ceremony’. There will be guided meditations, group explorations and dharma talks.
Arinna Weisman was empowered to teach in 1988 by Ruth Denison in the lineage of the Burmese Master U Ba Khin. Her dharma practice and teaching have been infused with her political and environmental activism. Arinna teaches from the heart, integrating the practice of awareness of social dynamics of inequitywith the dharma practice of liberation.
